16 STEPS TO YOUR DREAM SPACE
We know planning your dream space can be overwhelming, that's why we put together these 16 steps to make the process as stress free and peaceful as possible. Our team is with you every step of the way and at the end of it, all that's left for you to do is kick back and relax in your dream space!
Step 1: Phone Consultation
When you call us or submit a quote request we will ask a variety of questions to get to know you and your project and to get a better idea of what you are looking for to prepare our team for step 2!
Step 2: Meet on Site
During step one we will set up a time to meet you on your site. This is one of the most important steps, you will meet with our designer to brainstorm so we have a full idea of your vision, space, and budget. Before we leave we will take detailed measurements of the site to put into our 3d Design software. We will leave you with catalogs and resources to look over to help you with ideas and material selections.
Step 3: Design and Estimate
After our designer meets with you we will spend several days going over every detail of your project and creating a detailed blueprint, we will also create a 3d render and walkthrough for your project if needed. After the design is done, we will create a detailed estimate for you item by item so you can be certain of exactly what you're getting.
Step 4: Project Proposal
After the design and estimate are ready, we will call to set up a proposal. during this meeting we will go over every aspect of your plan and rendering and go item by item through the quote to answer any questions you have. We will also bring samples of materials for you to physically touch and see how they fit into your space. If you have anything you want to change before moving forward, we will make adjustments to the plan and quote for you to guarantee you love your new space!
Step 5: Final Material Selection
Before Signing the agreement, we will work with you to make sure you love all of the materials for your project, if you're unsure or don't like any part, we are happy to offer other suggestions of colors or materials to make sure it's exactly right.
Step 6: Agreements and Deposit
After all of the details are worked out, we will send an agreement via DocuSign. The agreement lays out payment schedules, expectations, and our warranty. we will also collect a down payment at this time to get materials ordered and get you on the schedule. Downpayments can be check, cash, or paid through a QuickBooks invoice with a card. Remember all card transactions have a 3% fee.
Step 7: What's Next
After we receive your signed agreement and deposit, we will order all the materials for your project. We will also get estimated timelines on specialty items like appliances and use those to schedule an estimated start date. while we do our best to stay on schedule, this date can change due to many factors such as weather. However, we will be in contact every step of the way so you can know when to expect us!
Step 8: While you Wait
While you're waiting for your start date remember to do anything agreed upon to prepare for the project. Things such as removing fence panels or cleaning up after pets and children are important to have done before hand to allow your space to get started on time and stay on schedule. Also always remember to remove outdoor furniture from the area and leave us plenty of room to work!
Step 9: Materials Arrive
Generally, materials will begin to arrive the day we begin demo and excavation. gravel will be dumped on the road or driveway if lawn space is not available. Block will be stacked as close as possible to the project without impeding the crews work area.
Step 10: Day One Details
On the first day we will meet and go over details and layouts with you one last time. After demo is done, we will paint out the final layout and position and leave it overnight for you to look at. For the first time you can finally get a true idea of the size and scope of your new space!
Step 11: What's Left Behind
For the duration of the project, we will leave our enclosed tool trailer and a skid steer on your property. we will place them as close to the project as possible. If lawn space is not available we will discuss with you an alternative such as the edge of the driveway or on the road. Other equipment such as an excavator may also be on site depending on the scoop of work.
Step 12: Crew Hours
Ou workday begins at 8:00, crews may arrive later, depending on driving distance and materials to be picked up. Crews will take a half hour lunch around noon and then work until 4:30-5 depending on what progress is being done, some days we may work later especially when working on lighting. Subcontractors such as electricians and plumbers make their own hours and may arrive at a different time. If anyone needs in the house, we will work with you to schedule a time.
Step 13: Check in
AT least once a week we will meet with you and go over progress and any questions or changes that may arise, this will not be scheduled but we will work with you to find a time everyone is available. if you have any questions during the project, feel free to talk to the project manager or Blake, no need to wait till a meeting!
Step 14: Final Details
As we finish the project, we will walk through with you and create a punch list of details to be completed to make sure nothing slips through the cracks. On the last day we will pull all equipment out and do lawn repair.
Step 15: Final Walkthrough and Payment
At the end of the last day, your project manager will meet and go over everything with you. we will cover maintenance, watering, and how to use all aspects of your space. We will go over warranty details with you and set up a time for a return visit in a few weeks to check on things and take final pictures once the lawn grows in. We will also pick up your final payment during this meeting.
